Are you already thinking about the many sweets you will eat over the holiday season? “They” claim the average person will gain 5-10 pounds from all the treats we partake in. But what about your teeth? So should you go to the dentist before or after the holidays?

Take the appointment when you can

If you are familiar with scheduling with the dentist then you know appointments aren’t easy to come by. In fact, if you cancel your appointment you’ll likely be waiting another month before a new one. So don’t dip out on your dentist just because it’s the holiday season. Go!

Clean teeth can handle the sweets

If you are already dealing with a cavity or pain in your mouth, sweets will only make it worse. The best thing you can do is address the issue before indulging in all the season has to offer. Don’t wait for the problem to get worse or you could be looking at an even bigger issue!

Dentists go on holiday too

You are not the only one looking forward to a seasonal break. Like many of us, dentist take holidays too. So if you wait until after Christmas, you could be looking at an even longer wait time to see your dentist! And if it’s an emergency, you better believe you’re going to pay that “urgent care” fee.

If your dentist uses appointment reminders, then it’s unlikely you’ll miss your appointment! If they don’t, be sure to tell them about us. You can save them valuable time and not to mention the convenience of a reminder for yourself! But either way, don’t wait to see your dentist.
