Our built in URL Shortener allows you to use any external URLs in your text message reminders or your email reminders by referencing them with a short url.
How does it work? #
Simply add any Destination URL and we will generate a 5-8 alpha-numeric code and add that to our short url site apmt.io. This site is owned and operated by appointmentreminders.com.
Then you can add the short URL to your text or email reminders and if your customers click on the link they will be redirected to the destination URL.
Why Use This Instead of Other Short URL Sites? #
- Text Messages – Many Short URL sites such as tinyurl or bit.li are blockes by the carriers and flagged as spam. If you send text message reminders with these url shorteners, your account could be flagged.
- Email Reminders – Many email spam filters don’t allow Short URL sites such as tinyurl or bit.li to pass through their filters. If you send email reminders with these, your email may be flagged as spam.
- AppointmentReminders.com offers this service for free on all account tiers.
- AppointmentReminders.com does not allow most external short url sites to be included in text messages so your account does not get flagged for spam by the carriers.
